Toronto's bedroom dream-pop duo Moon Eyed consists of a real-life couple, Simon Letourneau and Elizabeth-Jane Bitze.

After releasing their first EP last year, the duo is back with their debut record, Haleiwa.

Named after a small community in Hawaii's O’ahu island, the album reflects the island’s buoyant, ethereal quality through its use of lo-fi vocals and mumuring analog keyboards.

Toronto singer-songwriter STACEY is one busy woman. When she's not hosting women-fronted music showcases and workshops for her organization, Toronto Women in Music, she's actively songwriting and performing at venues across the city.

Her recently released sophomore EP, First Move, is a considerable departure from her previous stripped-down piano songs.

We sat down with STACEY to discuss the new EP, her serendipitous run-in with the songwriter of Meredith Brooks' "Bitch", and Toronto Women in Music.

Lauren Pirie is a freelance illustrator and artist who explores feminism and fantasy through intricate ink drawings.

Her drawings have appeared in magazines, children's books, public murals and film, including This.Broken.Mixtape's own Our Liner Notes book and documentary short.

We sat down with Lauren to discuss how the '80s cult classic film Labyrinth spawned her lifelong obsession with Bowie; how it inspired her fantastical artwork; and her grassroots arts and environmental organization, The About Face Collective.
